Andrew Vanwyngarden is now (imo) the hottest bastard on earth, uh-huh uh-huh

No? Don’t agree?

Any guy who can wear stuff like that and not look retarded MUST be some kind of awesome. HAHA! As for hottest girl it’s a fight between…

UFFIE! aka Anna Catherine-Hartley

and…

Zooooooooey Deschanel!

Okay I don’t really know why I’m blogging about this, I’m just looking for distractions ’cause of mental overload from writing the damned CATS report ughhhhhhhhhh cyasss

Aiiii I’m getting flooded with stuff this week, I think I’ve been slacking too much or something. Or maybe it’s just this week. CATS and ITB projects, MIEC report, Stagewerkz, the acting thing, so many many things to do! Plus the fact that I’m always lazy has led to this blog being a little stagnant so… here’s a short update.

Last week, the only thing worth remembering probably was Glenn’s pre-birthday celebrations on Saturday, but I’ll leave that to another time ’cause I haven’t got the photos ready. Be patient OK Peishan (:

Oh, and on Sunday I went to the new… disgusting shopping centre thingy in Downtown East with my mom for the first time. It’s a bloody useless place, don’t go ever there, ’cause it SUCKSSS!

But Monday was much better, because Aloy aka the funksoulbro had no classes that day, and he decided to go to NP with me! So I met him at Tanjong Pagar, then headed to (my) school. We haven’t met in so long, so there was plenty to talk about. Glad to see you’re keeping it together and moving on, teobro.

Since I had classes from 9 to 1, I left him in the school canteen pretty quickly and he went looking for a girlfriend, found her, and did stuff with/to her at the library. Tsktsk Aloy acts very quickly and efficiently when he wants to.

Later on we went to Bugis because I wanted to develop some film. BUT I found out that the lab I usually go to doesn’t do xprocessing, so that’ll have to wait.

Seeing as we had so much free time with nothing to do, Aloy suggested we look for Haji Lane. We’ve never been there before, and asking the people around proved to be useless. Like when I asked one man where it was, when we were in sight of Sultan Mosque aka VERY NEAR HAJI LANE, he went “ummmmm dunno!” while smiling sheepishly. Nabez.

But we found it in the end, and Haji Lane is kickass! It’s full of nice clothes and accessories shops that aren’t too expensive, but sadly I’ve already burnt through most of my allowance, and any shopping will have to wait.

I’ll definitely come back to buy one of these, though.

Sexy.

Priorities

24Jun08

I’ve gotten back 2 of my test papers, and I did better than expected although there’s lots of room for improvement. But I think I’m gonna have to study a lot harder for the exams this round.
Reason 1: they’re the final tests = higher weightage
Reason 2: I’ll be totally distracted because…

…if nothing goes wrong, I’ll be going for Mono AND Death Cab for Cutie! Okay Mono won’t be so bad, ’cause it’s in early July, but DCFC is (I think) right smack in the middle of the exam period! Aaaand I’ll definitely be staying back for merch and autographs, if there is an autograph session, so it means I’ll be shacked the next day’s paper!

Awesome. Music > Life > Studying anytime.

Anyway, a short update on hazm’s recent activities:

Last Saturday…I went to ECP for the NPMSS FOC camp’s post-mortem, or something like that. It was supposed to be some kind of post-camp reflection? aka boring session 101. But there was a bbq, which more than made up for it, and of course the great company helped.

I wasn’t expecting to have much fun, but there it is, hazm’s wrong as usual

Some people just don’t know how to do a jump shot hahahah

Anyway. On Sunday I went to JB with my family, ’cause my mom wanted tailor-made baju kurung (?!) for this year’s Hari Raya. Okla wtv just follow la. JB seemed like such a dump, the moment I stepped out of the Malaysian side of the causeway, it was like a guided tour to twenty million types of rubbish. Sorry to any Malaysians reading this, it ain’t your fault, your goverment’s fkin around, can’t even clean up the place then want to build amazing tourist destinations well goodluck to them (but wait, you voted them in omg!)

That was my last day of the hols, spent in dirty dingy JB.

Ahhh sucks.

Back to music, which always makes me feel better. Introducing hazm’s latest musical obsession:

MGMT play a fantastically twisted brand of psychedelic electronic noise pop, and make mindblowing music videos too. I likeeee! In fact, I’m prolly gonna get their album soon (if my wallet permits). Eh that reminds me, I have to get Ladytron’s Velocifero… *goes on rambling about music which nobody cares about dadadada*

All right that’s enough hazm.

So I headed out to HarbourFront early Wednesday morning to meet up with the other 14 or 15 people who promised to come for the outing. I came pretty early, ’cause I ALWAYS overestimate the time it takes to travel to wherever from Pasir Ris, but Glenn was hell earlier, the idiot came at 830 when we’re meeting at 930 -.-

Anyway we spent a boring 30mins or so waiting at Starbucks for everyone to arrive, before finally moving off to Sentosa. Right from the start, Glenn and Salny entertained us in various ridiculous ways; Glenn with his repertoire of jokes and anti-Derek lines, and Salny being Salny.

Example of Salny being Salny
Someone tells a dumb joke. Everyone laughs. Salny continues laughing until her whole face is tomato-red. Salny realizes this, fans her face and says “Whoosh!”. Everybody laughs, and she joins in. Repeat. Repeat.
End of example

Freaking hilarious lah, but I think it’s one of those you-have-to-be-there-to-get-it things. Yeah.

Okay anyway, once at Sentosa, we headed to…Siloso beach? Yeah I think so. After dumping our stuff under a shelter, we played FRISBEE! I’ve never played frisbee properly before, it’s damn fun! But ah, the girls all PROFESSIONAL SLACKERZ! The boys ran here and there, sweating like pigs, and the girls just strolled around and laughed randomly, pretending to cheer (yes I’m talking ’bout you, Peishan!) tsktsktsk.

Alright time for some pictures.

Post-frisbee, the unglam three:

Glenn! Normal-level unglam

Peishan! HAHAH SUPERUNGLAM

Melvin! Okay this one isn’t too bad

Then Melvin and I went and explored the off-shore island, the small one connected to Siloso beach by a bridge. It’s so small, there’s just a tiny strip of beach on one side, and on the other side is just rocks.

We found this signpost very amusing, ’cause there were semi-naked hotter-than-flames ummm objects around HAHA!

So anyway we went back, and did dumb stuff like whacking the volleyball around randomly, being impressed by Darren the new Ronaldinho’s soccer skillz, and other lame things. Then! someone had a flash of inspiration, and we decided to bury Derek in sand. Derek damn sad sia that day, he kena suan by Glenn to the point of murder, he got pressured into being buried alive and in the process, got to show off his famous body. HAHAHA

To save Derek some face, I won’t be posting photos that show…too much.

My favourite panda! Huiying was very happy at the prospect of seeing Derek :O

Since all the photos DURING the burying are quite…dangerous, you guys get only to see the aftermath!

I dunno lah, Salny take the photos all senget

Anyway after that, the weather turned cloudy on us, so we stayed under the shelter and played dumb games, like Indian poker, that sha-fansha game, the animal game, and other silly stuff. Jeff had a bad day, he had to do forfeits in every single game. Sadly, I had to join him in one of them!

SUPER EMBARASSING LAH!

Blehhh. Then it started to rain (maybe god didn’t like our dancing HAHA), so we stayed under the shelter even more! Super boring, except whenever the Sentosa tram things went past, then we’d scream like freaks going ELLO! ELLO! HI!!! We got a positive response only once, the rest of the tramloads gave us fk faces hahahah

So! Since Sentosa started becoming soggy with the rain, we made our way back to Vivo, where we wasted the rest of our time. Surprised a BA COMM member who works at BreadTalk, ate lunch (at 4pm), and disturbed the people at Toys ‘R Us. We went around abusing various toys, talking and laughing loudly, and making a nuisance out of ourselves while totally enjoying it. Salny made me laugh like crazy after she put on a shark hat and acted like one, but since I don’t have a video for it, I’ll just give it a mention.

Glenn did so many obscene things with like a million toys, this is the only photo that’s rated G! (edit: wait, what IS he doing with his right hand!)

Huiying, Peishan and her Glenn hahahah

ANYWAY! At about 5+, I said my gdbyes and left, ’cause it was getting really dull, and I felt so tired. The outing was really fun (at least, until Toys ‘R Us), and I hope the seniors/or whoever keeps planning outings like it again.

18Jun08

Have you heard of Death Cab For Cutie? No? What about their hit song I Will Follow You Into The Dark? No? Well I don’t care if you do know, but….

THEY’RE COMING TO SINGAPORE ON 12TH AUGUST! ONE DAY BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY WAHAHAHAH SHIOKKKKK!! DEATH CAB IN SINGAPORE! OMGAWZ! ONE DAY BEFORE MY BIRTHDAY! OMGAWZ!

Mmm if you can’t tell, I’m damn excited by this news.

Anyway I just got back from the retarded BA COMM outing, will blog more about it when I have photos and, sadly for me, videos. You’ll know why later.

Cyas.

Odd.

15Jun08

I just thought of something. After the BA COMM camp, there’s been a flurry of activity, from millions (more or less) of blog posts and tags, to mass convos, suggestions for meet-ups and such. And there’s been a general feeling of post-camp sugar rush and good moods for everyone.

How come this didn’t happen for the NPMSS camp? And why don’t I feel the same way towards my fellow NPMSS campmates as I do towards, say, the BA COMM people? Maybe the NPMSS exco (current or future), or any camp organizing committee might wanna look into that.

Just airing out my thoughts.

Anyway I’m fkin bored, I’ve listened through all my new music, I’ve read everything in the house - I so need to get out.

Dammit JC people stop studying!
